Privacy (PDPL)
How PropDirect collects, uses and protects your personal data — and the rights you have over it under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.
Your data stays in the UAE
PropDirect runs its application and AI in-region, on infrastructure hosted in the UAE (Abu Dhabi). Your personal information is not transferred out of the country to run the service. This is our core commitment under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, “PDPL”).
What we collect
- Account details — name, email, phone, and role (buyer, seller, tenant, host).
- Verification documents — where you choose to complete KYC: Emirates ID, passport, and, for listings, ownership documents such as a title deed.
- Listing information — the property details, price and documents you upload when you list.
- Usage data — pages viewed and searches run, to make the product work and improve it.
Why we use it
To operate the platform: to show you relevant listings, price against real comparables, run identity and sanctions screening where required, and prepare the paperwork a property transaction needs. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Your rights under the PDPL
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it’s wrong, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent you previously gave. To make any of these requests, contact us at cloud@propdirect.ae.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed to meet legal, regulatory or record-keeping obligations (for example, transaction and AML records). When it’s no longer needed, it’s deleted.
Security
Access to personal data is restricted, uploaded documents are stored with per-type access controls, and sensitive verification checks run inside the region. No system is perfectly secure, but we design to keep your data in the UAE and limit who can reach it.
